A follow up to their “Born in 1928″ campaign, these metallic’d out LunarGrand’s are truly a sight to see. Though they won’t be the perfect daily wear if you work in a cubicle, these loud joints from Cole Haan will definitely keep you in the footwear upper echelon, no matter what the venue is. From the lunar sole to the brogue/wingtip motif, these are everything you’d expect from CH and then some. For the daring souls these are available now.
More art-object than timepiece, the Atmos Hermes Clock ($TBA) is truly a functional thing of beauty. A three-part collaboration between luxury brands Hermes, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and Saint-Louis, this crystal bubble globe houses an incredible piece of time-keeping technology: the Atmos clock. The world’s only mechanical timepiece that does not require any winding from a human hand — it uses changes in the surrounding temperature to interact with a gas-filled capsule that expands and contracts to wind the movement. With design from Hermes, and master hand-made glass craftsmanship from Saint-Louis, this clock represents an incredible partnership, ingenious craftsmanship, and attention to detail completely uncommon among average household items.
Over the past several decades, we’ve seen more design missteps than successes in the form of America’s iconic muscle car, but just in time for their 50th anniversary, the guys in Detroit seem to have gotten everything right with the 2015 Ford Mustang ($TBA). While the look has been completely updated for a new generation, there are plenty of elements in this pony car that are distinctly Mustang, namely the fastback rear window, the long hood, and short rear deck. And though there are suggestions of retro, this is every bit a modern car, with improved handling thanks to a new suspension system, improved electronics and entertainment, and a surprising array of engines offered. Drivers can now choose from the Mustang standard, a 5.0-liter V8, a 3.7-liter V6, and for the first time ever a four-cylinder turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost. Though the third will no-doubt ruffle some purist feathers, it’s obviously an attempt to appeal to a global market concerned with fuel economy. All things said, the new Mustang is a strong step in the right direction, and clear proof that American muscle isn’t dead — it’s just growing up.

It’s been a few months since Nike has dropped the Air Max 90 Free Run hybrid and it looks like this upcoming trio of colorways will be bringing it back with an entirely new upper. What has been dubbed the “Jacquard Pack”, these three AM 90′s feature subtle yet bold patterns throughout the entire upper while vibrant pops of color have been sprinkled throughout each shoe. No word on a release date.
Finally, an electric grill for the culinary impaired among us who wouldn’t know how long to cook a chicken breast if it came with directions stamped into the meat. The T-Fal OptiGrill ($210) comes programmed already with the ideal time and temperature for a range of common grill items — everything from fish and steak to poultry and sandwiches — taking the guesswork out of indoor grilling. It features a cooking surface that’s large enough to accommodate a meal for an entire family (or one really hungry guy), as well as non-stick removable grill plates, a floating hinge that lets you fit large cuts of meat, and a large drip tray that makes cleanup a breeze.
For the past 39 years, Anchor Brewing has released one of the most unique and tasty holiday beers on the market, Our Special Ale. Every holiday season we look forward to celebrating with a new batch and a new hand drawn label. As the holidays wound down last year however, Anchor decided to do something different with their remaining stock. Instead of scrapping the leftovers, they decided to pass it to Anchor Spirits, where they distilled the leftovers into a unique white spirit aptly named White Christmas ($50). It’s gentle upfront with a nice long and spicy finish featuring notes of clove, holiday spice, and dried fruits. This limited production white whiskey is sure to sell fast, especially since this year it’s only available in California.
The Nike Kobe 9 is just a few weeks away from being unveiled, but Nike Basketball still has a few colorways in store for the rest of the year. With the first Pit Viper colorway already released, The Kobe 8 will be seeing another PV combo in a Green and Orange colorway.
