Rumors have been spread since last year about an all red Nike Air Yeezy colorway and it can now be safely confirmed due to Kanye’s own wife showing the sneaker which dons an entirely Red make up. Combining elements from Nike’s popular Foamposite technology and Charles Barkley’s iconic signature sneaker range, this basketball-inspired lifestyle model mixes an upper where a metal silver Foamposite shell battles against a Gamma Blue-speckled black nubuck one piece panel. The spacey upper travels downwards to a black midsole, speckled heel Air Max unit and an icy blue outsole. Expect to see the Barkley Posite Max Silver/Gamma Blue at select NSW accounts including Kasina starting June 1 with a price tag of $235 USD.
Damian Lillard x adidas Real Deal “Rookie of the Year”
Even though Portland missed out on the Playoffs this year, Damian Lillard was unanimously named “Rookie of the Year” for his efforts in an impressive and promising season. Accordingly, adidas has created a special edition “Rookie of the Year” version of the Real Deal sneaker for the young player. The silhouette, originally introduced in the 1990′s, is executed in colors commemorating each stop on Lillard’s ascent to success. The release, limited to 510 pairs, also features an ode to Lillard’s neighborhood in Oakland, his high school mascot, and other hidden features. Pick up this exclusive release at Portland’s Compound or Oakland’s Shoe Palace on May 23 for $120 USD. Damian will also make an appearance at Compound on the release date between 6:00 and 7:00 PST.
Kanye West Premieres ‘New Slaves’ Across The World – Guerrilla Style
In spectacular fashion, Kanye West has premiered his new single and video ‘New Slaves’ by projecting it on 66 buildings across the world. The full details of the locations can be viewed here. Nike Roshe Run – “Summer Safari”
Just when you thought Nike couldn’t top itself with the Roshe line, they popped back with another pair of classics. Paying homage to the Safari line, these new Roshe’s see the standard mesh construction meet an all new Safari pattern on the upper. Though this version features a monochromatic, all “mint” colorway, I think we all are hoping to see these drop in a few different colorways. The Roshe is quickly becoming one of Nike’s hottest shoes and is certainly seeing some of the best editions, stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates on all of the new and unreleased Roshe’s that are sure to come within the next few months. Expect to see these minty green joints hit stores in June.
