KAWS is currently in Mexico City, Mexico for the launch of his collaboration with Mexican beer, Cerveza Dos Equis. The New York artist gives a detailed look into all of the promotional tools including a billboard, bottles, and cases that have been created to celebrate the launch of the collaboration between himself and Dos Equis. The collaboration is a seamless one as KAWS is known for drawing “XX” and Dos Equis original branding uses the same letters. via: KAWS

This is the future of Porsche. Directionally, and technologically speaking. As reported back in July, Porsche has decided to push for the production of its latest hybrid super car, the Porsche 918 Spyder. With 500HP delivered by a V8 engine, the only thing left to wonder is what the Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid looks like in performance. Last Thursday, prior to the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the folks from Porsche took the new car out for a test drive on a closed road circuit in Monterey, California. Check out the video, the beautiful lines of the new super-sleek, super-fast hybrid, and rest assured that these will be available later, alongside with more release information and price quotes.
The most lightest backpack in the Fredrik Packers range is the obviously named Light Weight Back Pack series. Three sizes are available in large, medium and small, which is suitable for daily use or for professional use by messengers. One reason for its lightness is the stripping of inner linings, thus making this bag resistant to water. Couple that with comfortably padded shoulder pads, this all rounder is great on the bicycle as well as off the bicycle. They have come up with a new colorway in purple and blue scheme as reported here but there are plenty of other colorways to choose from on their website.
I love Lupe’s T&T line! The line is similar to the notion of ghosts and the paranormal. You know “IT” exists but not too sure if it indeed physically exists so many are ‘open-minded’ to the notion of it. That’s how I feel with this super-rare-unobtainium-exclusively-limited Trilly & Truly line. On the other hand, if you find it (which I have on separate occasions) you wish it was a dream since the price tags make it damn near non-existant for us mere mortals…LoL
From his familiar role as a music star, Lupe Fiasco sets his eyes on a different creative medium with this video unveiling of his fashion brand, Trilly & Truly. Fiasco personally speaks about what this collection dubbed “Basic Info” entails and the overall representation of his brand Trilly & Truly. Look for the collection to hit select retailers including Chicago’s RSVP Gallery.
Barcelona boutique 24 Kilates continues to celebrate their 5th birthday with some interesting collaborations. Just recently we showed you their work with Asics and with New Balance. Here is now a look at their “Friends and Family” G-Shock DW-6900. Limited to only 24 pieces, the watch will most likely not go on sale.
What a waste of perfectly wearable $hock on my wrist….SMFH!!!
This will definitely be a must cop when rocking a G-Shock during office time is called….
Bringing function, technology, downtown style and luxury to the same table, Casio had just introduced a new line-up to its family of timepieces– Edifice. Simply put, think of Edifice as G-Shock for the man of the boardroom. Masculine, tough, intelligent and powerful, these are watches for men with purposes. For its debut collection (and need we mention that the official face of Edifice is Bryan Greenberg from How To Make It In America?), Edifice introduces six powerful styles inspired by sports watches. The Edifice line is classic and entirely analogous, and various dials ensures unwavering precision down to the last 1/1000th of a second. Each hand runs on its own individual gear for added precision as well.
In terms of technical features, Edifice comes with one of Casio G-Shock’s favorite specficiation– Tough Solar Power–, is water resistant, features an auto light, and scratch resistance. These were first debuted at Casio’s Shock The World 2010 Conference which was held earlier this week on Monday at the Manhattan Civic Center with an afterparty headlining Ke$ha, the new ambassador of Baby-G. Check out the new Edifice line-up, and for men who are looking for the functionality of G-Shock with a style that will not cramp their boardroom air, here is that watch to fulfill the niche.
After working together on a short film to help launch the twins whose names are now synonymous with LEGO, Dee & Ricky’s collaborative GA110 with Casio G-Shock, Kenzo Digital and Dee & Ricky are now onto a new project which looks suspiciously like a new webisode series. The project, “The Dee & Ricky Super Happy Fun Time Show” will be released very soon, and as a prelude to the upcoming release, the duo (or trio) have released a trailer, showcasing of course LEGO creations ranging from Pac-Man monsters to their iconic heart pins, cigarettes and apples. We are not quite certain what the project will be exactly about, but it seems like it will be living up to its adjectives.
Love me some stop motion animation/live acting….FTW!
I’ll try to branch off into the ART world and showcase some really intriguing and genius artists and their pieces from time to time to add more depth to my ever-expanding m!c checks….
Its pretty dope what one can find when you least expect it when searching high and low on the world wide web. This is the exact same feeling I had when I stumbled across an iLL Italian artist by the name of Francesco de Molfetta.
Francisco de Molfetta was born in 1979, he now lives and works in Milan.
Francesco De Molfetta’s work has a striking impact above all for their immediate legibility that are distinguished for their characterized irony. A sometimes extreme irony, irreverent, that makes a clean square of communal locations and easy/false morals. This young artist assembles small every day objects with recuperated characters of toys and small models of modelling, creating situations at the same time fun and open spaced, that live a representing paradox. A paradox not so far away, if you like, of the lived life, with more or less anxiety of daily life. Characters that seem impassable when completing their proper actions, ignoring the consequences of their behaviour. De Molfetta plays with words, on their signification, representation, unstableness, ironically on their fear and on their sense of precariousness and danger that now more than ever inseparable and accompany. The unstable balance of this precarious situation comes also represented distorted, alternating unlikely realistic proportions represented between objects and humans.
Within these works Basilea the artist will present her personnel vision of Italian politics and folk law, jumping from art history to recent chronicles, and an installation specific site with the presence of garden gnomes to speak about our “beautiful country” on the edge of the abyss.
Francesco De Molfetta collaborates and exhibits with the gallery Colossi contemporary Art of Brescia.
Below are some of the pieces that REALLY caught my attention and have caused me some searching for at least 2 of them (if they are re-produced, which i highly doubt but heck doesn’t hurt to try!)
