Here is how the whole thing came about….
Twitter is an amazing thing. Kanye West only joined the microblogging service a few weeks ago, but he’s already figured out a way to use it for maximum brain-melting potential. For example: over just a few days, Kanye has taken a perfectly ridiculous half-baked idea– doing a song with mop-topped teen idol Justin Bieber and Wu-Tang mic slayer Raekwon– and turned it into a reality. Apparently, at the moment, Kanye and Raekwon are actually at work on a remix of Bieber’s “Runaway Love”.
The whole thing started over the weekend, as Kanye Tweeted about the music he’s been listening to lately: La Roux, Matt and Kim, Aaron Neville, and “Runaway Love” on serious repeat. Then Bieber responded: “it’s not a so what moment for me. I’m 16 and a fan. I’m kinda hyped u are listening to my stuff. Thank u.” That’s when Kanye made the big proposal: “An I’m honored that you like my Music @JustinBieber!!! You gotta hear the album. Maybe we can do something together. Me, You and Raekwon”.
Bieber was enthusiastic: “me, u, and the chef 2gether on a song = EPIC. haha. might sound crazy 2 u but even having this convo is living the dream.” I’m kind of impressed that he knew to refer to Rae as “the chef.”
The whole thing seemed pretty far-fetched, but then XXL talked to Rae, who confirmed that the song is actually happening: “It’s definitely gonna happen… Yeezy called me and we gon’ make it pop… And we gon’ make a hit. Justin got his own fan base, and me and Yeezy got our own fan base, and we gon’ make it happen. We gon’ make a good record.”
So my sister is getting married tomorrow, and to get around, she got a party bus for the entire wedding party. I felt like it would only be right that I provide the beat. Enjoy.

BLU is back with another remarkable video, this one called ‘Big Bang Big Boom’. It is perfectly described as “an unscientific point of view on the beginning and evolution of life … and how it could probably end”. Basically a full circle story of the world and life as we know it, told in the amazing stop-motion style that BLU has mastered…
The time and amount of work that BLU’s videos must take just boggles my mind, especially as he keeps upping the scale of his work. And clap clap bravo to whoever does the sound effects, perfection.

“We just recently got a glimpse of one possible future of DJing, but our world has now already been turned upside down once again with this multitouch-enabled rig built by Gregory Kaufman. The big difference with this one, as you can probably guess, is that it employs a gesture-based interface that lets you spin the virtual turntables and use a variety of taps and finger swipes to replicate the main functions of a regular DJ deck. What’s more, Kaufman says that the only gear a DJ would have to carry is a USB drive with their own music and settings, which they’d simply plug into the multitouch table at a club — assuming the idea catches on, that is. Top top things off, the system would also be able to accommodate regular DJ gear for some added flexibility, and even provide enough room for two DJs if you’re looking to battle or share the stage. Kid Cudi did a little last minute performance at Bape NYC last month, and now there is finally good quality footage of the show as well as some behind the scenes talks with Mr Rager himself….
Just two quick questions on this one:
1) REVOFEV is constantly stuck in my head. Am I the only one singing “WOOOoooAAAOOOOOooo” on the streets?? I can’t be.
2) What ever happened to enjoying live shows? Seems like 9/10 people in the audience were too busy trying to record and take pictures to even have any fun. Or am I being an old man?
