Okay, at one point or another during the last 4 years, we have seen this rumor take on more “supposed resurrections” than Elvis himself. So why is this latest rumor more credible than others? First, its from a pretty reliable media source, Bloomberg Television, and of all things, a business news outlet with a huge influence on how the market performs, day in and day out. Second, the information came from Ashok Kumar, a senior technology analyst from Rodman & Renshaw, and not some chat rooms or forums. Third, several business reports, included on from Goldman Sachs, have indicated the same. Still not convinced?
During a brief telephone conversation on TV, the analyst and Bloomberg anchors itemized several factors on Apple’s move from the sole carrier format, that would be AT&T, to both AT&T and Verizon Wireless. Here is the breakdown:
The market share of Apple iPhone has hit its peak with AT&T and needs “greener pasture” to graze on
With the increase in popularity of Android phones, Apple is making a strategic move to slow down its encroachment.
The analyst, who confirmed with 2 unnamed inside sources, mentioned Apple recently signed up Taiwanese tech outsource firm, ASUSTek’s Pegatron Division, to produce the CDMA variant of the iPhone 4, a wireless protocol used by Verizon Wireless.
For those disgruntled AT&T customers, who stayed through the thick and thin. This could not have come at a better time. That is if it is true. No set dates yet, but most analysts have mentioned the launch on Verizon Wireless to be as early as January of 2011.
This was just e-mailed to me so here’s the cut-n-paste version of the email. Please do not sleep on this! I repeat PLEASE DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS!!

So that’s the e-mail. Nothing but verbage informing you that all 3 shoes are releasing on the same damn day! OMFG! Here’s the snag if you aren’t up to par with how this all goes down – each shoe will be regional releases. Meaning your local House of Hoops may have the 3’s then have to hit up Nike Town for the 9’s then jack the 4’s from someone who bought them somewhere else.
This will definitely cause pure pandemonium once these drop! Don’t take my word for it since it’s true….
***UPDATE****
As this entry was being entered I received a twitter update frm Jordan Brand stating that the release date was pushed back from March 20th to the 27th….
