So it looks like the Jordan Brand has already started sending out their Influence Packs, which are sent to some of the hottest celebrities with the intent of creating buzz that will influence you to put their items on your must have list. Rapper Fabolous shows that he travels in style because he Twitpic’d this picture of the Nike Air Jordan Retro 9 ” Dark Charcoal” sneakers ($150) grouped together with his Louis Vuitton Damier Keepall 55 bag ($1,250) and Michael backpack ($1,530), all of which share similar color schemes. See pics below.
How does one prep for the game? Apparently, you can’t have love without the right tunes, and not too long ago, we had just brought you a good look at the Skullcandy x Air Jordan IX (9) “For The Love Of The Game” pack, which features a pair of the kicks with matching Carolina Sky Blue headphones. This time around, here is prove that Air Jordan’s collaboration with Skull Candy goes a longer way as here we have another limited edition pack featuring the Air Jordan VII (7) Olympics and a pair of matching Skull Candy headphones, packed into the same gorgeously crafted trunk.
In the spirit of basketball and the upcoming World Basketball Festival, the pack will be hitting the brand’s pop-up store at Atmos and House of Hoops starting this Friday on August 13th.

In conjunction with this week’s World Basketball Festival, Jordan Brand is set to launch a series of commemorative product releases this week. From the limited-edition figurines of Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul, and Carmelo Anthony, previewed last evening at atmos NYC in Harlem, to selective set of Skullcandy x Jordan Brand collaboration based of For The Love Of The Game theme. The exclusive collection features a pair of Skullcandy headphones and Air Jordan IX (9), both in the Carolina Sky Blue (University Blue) and white. Both sealed in a discreet blacken aluminum container with a golden plate on front, in-scripted with edition number.
The commemorative will go on-sale this Thursday, August 12th, to mark the start of the World Basketball Festival, though there are speculations that it might as early as tomorrow with the rest of For The Love Of The Game pack, at atmos NYC and House of Hoops Harlem. And with only 23 units produced, it will be one of the most sought after product this summer.

Finally edited and uploaded my un-boxing review of Nike Air Max 90 Infrareds with Primitive x Justene Jaro tee w/ matching Fitted – beautifully presented in HD [thnx Flip cam]
This is out of this world! Both figuratively and literally! First the literal part. By implementing the 2-mold process, first introduced by Foamposite, the upper is now a seamless 1 piece that is way more durable and protective to the players’s feet. Now figurative portion, the outrageously futuristic silhouette, translucent outsole, reflective ankle strap…this fusion of Air Force 1 and Foamposite had many mouthed the word “Space Boots” when it officially debuted at the Nike Basketball 2010 Media Summit in New York City last month. And given today marks the 1th anniversary of King of Pop’s passing, what a novel way to honor the “Moon Walker” with a pair of Air Force 1 Foamposite? Currently available in limited quantity at MarqueeSole.
LeBron is huge news everywhere now. The NBA draft wrapped up Thursday, and in many a General Manager’s office, all eyes are on the players in the draft and on the free agent market, headed by one of the game’s best–LeBron James. Not only is LeBron’s free agent status giant news, but now for those who follow the sneaker game, photos of his next sneaker, the Air Max LeBron VIII, have leaked. The NIke Air Max LeBron VII, with its fully visible Air Max unit, was one of, if not the most, popular models from his signature line, and it will remain to be seen if this model can replicate the success of its predecessor. This model takes the full Air Max unit and places it below a speckled midsole and above a semi-translucent outsole.King James’ Lion logo is embossed on the tongue and the outsole, while his signature graces the heel. This is the first set of photos, so stick with S4F for updates on the new shoe and his status as a free agent. via: VMWinc
This year, the “Dirty Copper” and “Eggplant” colorways of the Nike Air Foamposite One released to eager crowds of sneaker fans. Those in the sneaker game can vouch for this model’s technical and aesthetic innovation, as this was a shoe that blew people’s minds when it was originally released for Penny Hardaway, and it still continues to do so years later. This edition is not as bold as the Dirty Copper version, as it sticks to a tonal black upper in the foam material and suede around the laces and tongue. What is being deemed the “Cough Drop” color appears in a translucent outsole, small swoosh on the toe, and on the tongue and heel tabs. This 2010 release will surely be a huge one, so check with Freshness for updates and release information. via marqueesole
I heard mixed reviews about the recent Jordan release over the weekend. The following shall enlighten those who were wonder where the Jumpman logo went….
Enjoi!
Brand Jordan continues it’s 25th Anniversary Celebration this year with the release of various Silver Anniversary Air Jordan sneakers including one of the most coveted, the all White Air Jordan XI (11) Retro, which was released this past weekend at select Jordan Brand retailers across the United States. 25 lucky people were fortunate enough to receive a special pair that contains an embroidered Jumpman on the heel as well as a commemorative patch underneath the sole of the right shoe. 25 of these pairs were put into circulation with the rest of the Air Jordan XI’s. As Jordan Brand notes on their website, “let the hunt begin”. via Jumpman23 // davyc3
I’ve been a fan of AF1’s for quite sometime, but as of late I haven’t bought a pair of the OG all white joints since I was in middle school. Now, if you will, fast word to the latter part of 2009 and the Forces started to become a force to be reckoned with. From DJ Clark Kent’s Black Friday joints, which included horse hair; to the recent Bespoke Forces from the NY blogger Marcus Troy, which used kevlar. Slowly yet surely Forces are making that comeback into the limelight since I really haven’t had any inclination to cop any Dunks of SBs as of late thanks in part to this recession!
Hi-5 recession….psyched!!
Along the lines of Forces I was also a Timberland consumer. Boots, jeans, shirts, jackets, sweater, and socks were among the countless things I would buy @ the Outlets or the mall. During a daily run through my blogs that I read daily, I came across something that really caught my fancy.
Picture this – an AF1 that looks like and resembles a boot! Too vague huh?! Thought so. Take a looksie and see what crazy monstrosity Nike and Tokyo Destroyers has come up with….loving and drooling over that white contrast stitching!
