Lifestyle headphone company AIAIAI will be introducing this week their new TMA-1 headphones, their first performance product in the range. The headphones have been tested by notable DJs around the globe over the last couple of months, with the feedback going right back into the development of the product. The TMA-1 was designed by Danish design firm KiBiSi and further developed in cooperation with Tartelet Records, Mannhandle and Thank You For Clapping. The outcome is a high performance set of headphones, which still appeals to the lifestyle customer in terms of design. The official global launch takes place tonight at Firmament Berlin.
We already know there are many functions for your iPad, and most of them are thanks to the genius application developers out there. Psychic Factory though has taken the iPad applications one step up and created an iPad DJ Station. This concept creation is complete with mixers, equalizers, turntables and functions a DJ would possibly need, this might be just the new portable and extremely versatile party picker-upper. While not much information has been released yet, we do look forward to these being going into actual production.via: Fubiz
Not letting Dr. Dre get away with all the fun, Jay-Z’s Roc Nation has collaborated with lifestyle audio equipment maker Skullcandy to create the Rock Nation Aviator Headphones, and are determined to bring an unprecedented level of sonic experience to the world. The collaborative Aviator headphone aims to deliver amazing sound just as Roc Nation delivers the best live performances to its audience.
The Aviator headphone is designed with polycarbonate headphone cups, plush memory foam ear cushions and premium material seen on luxury eye wear. While the physical construction is nothing short of opulent in the true spirit of Roc Nation, Skullcandy has also incorporated premium audio components to create unparalleled clarity and phonic experience. In terms of aesthetics, the Aviator headphones feature triangular shaped ear cups, veering away from the traditional circular ones, and thus perhaps pays a tribute to the “Aviator” sunglasses shape. The headphones are co-branded and comes in three colorways– black, white and brown. The brown version features a translucent ear cup and gold frames, and hence looks extremely similar to aviator sunglasses.
These headphones will be arriving in stores this coming June, so do your music and favorite artists justice, and let their sound be delivered with clarity through your iPod.
Audio-Technica is known for its microphones, examples of which have brought you the clearest sounds from the Olympics, World Cup, Grammys, and Justin Timberlake and Metallica for starters. A company that good at reproducing should should know a thing or two about keeping sound out, which is the purpose of its QuietPoint active noise-canceling headphones.
As is the case in these kinds of units a miniature microphone in each ear cup detects environmental noise, and a corresponding sound-canceling signal is applied. They come in one over-the-ear and two on-ear flavors that range from 80% cancellation to 90% cancellation, and the two higher end versions fold flat into hard-shell carrying cases, while the entry-level model folds into its own travel pouch.
The rabbit in the hat, though, is that all of them have detachable wires – you can run them wirelessly on a triple-A battery. If your juice run out, you can plug the wire in so your music doesn’t need to run out, too. Each model comes with an airline adapter, 1/4-inch or 1/8-inch adapters and an AAA battery, and they range from $99.99 to $219.99.
This track has been on constant repeat on my iTunes since last week and it’s about time for B.o.B to drop his album so pre-order and download the track!
We know y’all been fiending, so get your head nodding on. Word. Show some love and pre-order.

This mix of 2 Hip Hop artists go toe2toe just like Pacquiao & Clottey did over the weekend, but this one is more entertaining then the fight – IMO!
It seems like Trackstar can’t get enough of these conceptual mixes, but he has an uncanny knack and an inordinate amount of time to pull them together as well as the skills necessary to make them entertaining. For Marcy To Madison St., our favorite DJ brings together the works of Jay-Z and Lupe Fiasco, two artists whose careers don’t seem linked until Track uncovers the clues like a master sleuth. What we end up with is another mix whose entertainment value is on par with its predecessor in the series and 50+ minutes of auditory pleasure.
Here’s a quick-hit list for each of the respective artist and how they stack up:

As most of you readers know, my forte is Music & Fashion. The premier of the Lady GaGa and Beyonce new video for ‘Telephone’ rocked everyone’s world, in addition to sending shudders of joy, dismay, confusion and wardrobe-lust down bloggers’ and stylists’ spines alike.
I for one think dismay and confusion is an understatement for how I felt about the video. The song is about a guy blowing up GaGa’s phone (one would think) while she’s at the club doing her thing. The video has GaGa in jail and the pay phone, hat-phone, whatever phone being blown up by Beyonce. A video about the club being portrayed in jail. I think it makes perfect sense don’t you think?
With all ranting aside I think that Gaga, who seems to be the muse of the moment, sports some expected Gaga-esque ensembles that we have all grown to associate with the queen of out-there. The real question is, though: is she really this endlessly crazy and creative, or is it all someone else’s plot? The pop-art pop-ups in the video made it worth watching, though there were dull moments, mostly seen on Beyoncé.
Either way, we all know she pulls off the weird and wacky, and now it’s what we expect. Keep it up, Gaga.
